Kaleidoscope

I remember you Grandma Ysabel
Not just with words
But your energy, your presence
Pierced my heart
I am strong because of you
I can do hard things
I am industrious

I remember you Aunt Isabel
Not just with words
But your energy, your presence
Pierced my heart
I am loving because of you
And generous
And creative with my hands

I remember you my mama Ramona
Not just with words
But your energy, your presence
Pierced my heart
I am a reader/thinker because of you
I seek the mystical
And the one Truth

I remember you my sister Cindy
Not just with words
But your energy, your presence
Pierced my heart
I am a protector because of you
Bold to the the bullies
Who pick on the vulnerable

No person has a solid self
We are a kaleidoscope
Of many beautiful parts
From this and that experience
Built on a DNA floorplan
Held together by Ego
The glue...and the nails

Ego to ego we meet
My label meets your label
Until the glue fails
And we become undone--free!
Or we are nailed
Into our coffin
And die--also free!

The Love of God
The continuous energy
Takes many forms
To pierce our hearts
If we let Her in
My only prayer
Is that the piercings never stop.
