My body is personal--
I need clean air, water, food
I need compassion and respect
I need health and safety
I need to be free from violence
I need exercise and play
If I am denied bodily autonomy 
I'm just a slave, a pawn, a puppet
Treated less than human

My mind is personal
I need to learn how to
Reason and think critically
To grow and evolve
I need to be free from
Indoctrination and propaganda 
I need to self-express with language
I need access to factual information--
  media, education, books
If I am denied mental autonomy
I'm just a slave, a pawn, a puppet
Treated less than human

My culture/spirituality is personal--
I need to be free from others'
  religions, beliefs, and rituals
I need to be able to love whom I love
And worship how I worship
I need dance and song and stories
And art and poems
If I am denied spiritual autonomy
I'm just a slave, a pawn, a puppet
Treated less than human

When the personal is denied
For anyone
It becomes potitical
