Meditate, find peace
Rid yourself of stress
Quiet your mind
They said
So I went on silent retreats
And studied Zen…
And chanted
And OM’d
Until enough thoughts
Enough of “me” fell away
And in that void
The song of life rushed in
All my cells vibrated
With Aliveness
Everywhere, energy was
Dancing and singing
Life is a big celebration
Of joyful creative energy
Changing, evolving
Morphing into new ways of being
Shimmering lights
Coursing through my veins
Rid me of suffering
Removed my fear of death
And glee bubbled in me
Vibrating and effervescent
This is our natural, spirited state
Without thoughts of good or bad
This wordless, awake presence
Desireless and whole
Before conditioned responses
Is true love and pure joy
There is nowhere to go
Nothing to seek
Just remove some walls
And let love rush in.
