Today, as I rest in nothingness
All angst vanishes
All wars and atrocities
Are mere bleeps
In universal consciousness
Meaningless
No, this isn’t nihilism
No, this isn’t apathy
Just a free and spacious
Brief reprieve
From the tight confines
That man calls self
And I will shrink again
To a mind and body
That I call “me”
And I will walk the dog
And perform the chores
With a renewed love
And I will rant against those
Who want to limit others
From the right–the birthright!
To explore the world,
And live their life
As unique souls
All true lovers of life
Want this for others
The right to expand
Beyond the boundaries
Of religion, society, culture
…peacefully and respectfully
To realize the AWE of life
The something in nothingness
The Om in home
Time in a body is limited
The Earth is hungrily
Waiting…
