Our One Heart
Life is getting more complicated-
As 'The One' morphs into
'The Ten Thousand Things'
We get lost
In the branches of tomorrow
Or the roots of yesterday
We lose sight of our trunk
It is only at our core
Where we are whole.
Our branches
Reaching
For the light
And our roots
Reaching
For the dark
Shows us our split
Our opposing
And dualistic mind
She/He, Good/Bad
Right/Wrong, Attract/Repel
And 10,000 shades of gray
We are creative beings
Our branches and roots
Will expand ad infinitum
Harmony/unity
Is only found at our center
In our one heart.
