Perfection

This sunflower has a face growing out of its oringinal face. No, not the perfect sunflower if judged by man’s standards, but the bees are happy.

When I was a little girl, church told me God loved everyone and I was supposed to do the same. Try as I might, I just couldn’t. Weeks went by and I practiced…but it just wasn’t happening.

Then it dawned on me–maybe God wasn’t this perfect, majestic, larger than life man looking down at the world and loving imperfection-as man supposed. Maybe God was was just a tiny gnat, a speck, (egoless) looking up at the world and thus, saw perfection everywhere, and was in awe of everything, and loved everyone.

That was the first time I fell into Grace…and felt the totality, the oneness, the perfection of the universe.
