68 is quite an age
Mellow with a hint of rage
Overtones of lavender
And undertones of sage
Snow capped mountains
With a deep dark caves
Sunny spring meadows
Tombstones and graves
Meandering rivers
Placid cool lakes
Sunbathing turtles
Slithering snakes
I'll keep the laughter of children
My tears and my sorrow
I release my past
And say goodbye to tomorrow
68 is quite the age
I've had a good run
And now that the race is over
Eternity has begun...
